Hubbell Power Systems (HPS) engages in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of products used by utilities. Today, HPS is deeply engaged in product solutions for OSP Communication utility purposes, and has been actively growing that segment of the business. Capping

Duties are generally performed under the direct supervision of the production supervisor. This position includes insulating steel cores; by ensuring roundness through inspection of inner dimension, outer dimension, and height requirements, cutting strips to appropriate heights, and attaching strips to core. Must be able to use and have a general understanding of measurement devices and follow product dimensions on the core specification sheet.

  • Assure that all products meet the highest standard of quality
  • Follow all safety rules and ISO requirements
  • Have the ability to operate a pallet jack and/or forklift
  • Adhere to all company rules and policies
  • Keep work areas clean and organized
  • Ensure that work practices are in the guidelines of OSHA standards
  • Must have an understanding of measurements using standard and metric measuring devices
  • Operate a sheet metal shear and/or ring cutting equipment
  • Have the ability to operate a hoist properly and safely

Minimum requirements

  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs
  • Read, use, and understand measuring devices
  • Have the ability to stand for extensive periods of time
  • Be punctual, reliable and have a good work ethic
  • Must be able to work well with others and foster teamwork
  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
