Maintenance Mechanic

This is a maintenance position suited for those with intermediate maintenance skills, which may include, but not be limited to, low-voltage electricity, control wiring, precision fabrication, intermediate-level troubleshooting. Will supervise tasks of Maintenance Tech 1 personnel. This person should be capable of working with little supervision, while maintaining a good level of demonstrated ability and success at correcting typical mechanical, fabrication and low-voltage electrical problems.
Essential Functions include but are not limited to:
Perform mid-level to complex electrical (including three-phase) pneumatic, plumbing (including PVC pipefitting) and hydraulic tasks, as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
Perform fabrication tasks (both aluminum and steel) including, but not limited to, machining, plasma-cutting, oxyacetylene-cutting, welding, soldering and brazing.
Perform preventive maintenance tasks throughout the facility, including forklift maintenance.
May supervise Maintenance Tech 1 personnel in accomplishing maintenance tasks.
Other Job Duties include but are not limited to:
Read, understand and comply with all work order requirements.
Keep maintenance shop area clean and organized, per company Ultraclean/6S requirements.
Perform maintenance tasks, using a scissor-lift and genie boom, at heights up to 35 feet.
Observe safety requirements and use all required safety equipment.
Must supply own basic tools.
Must be available to work overtime, when required, (including on call and weekends).
Perform other duties, as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
High School diploma or High School Equivalency required.
Must have ability to read and comprehend American English
Average reading skills with capability of comprehending and retaining information is required.
Previous three years' experience in maintenance is desired.
Must exhibit attention to detail.
Must have ability to handle stressful situations.
Positive, team-player attitude.
Strong work ethic.
Must be dependable.
Physical Requirements:
This position will require an employee to work in both a factory and office environment. The site will contain mobility barriers with uneven ground-level and obstructed pathways. Climatic and environmental conditions at the job site will be indoor/outdoor climate with various noise levels caused by tools, machinery, equipment, etc. The work environment characteristics described above are representative of what an employee will encounter while performing the essential functions of this job.
The employee must be able to perform the following physical requirements effectively, with or without reasonable accommodation:
Must have ability to bend, twist and stretch arms above head and walk or stand for long periods of time.
Must be able to lift and move heavy objects, up to 40 pounds safely.
Must be able to push and pull heavy racks.
Must have standard visual acuity (correctable by prescription glasses or contacts meets the requirement) and have the ability to distinguish colors.
Must be able to hear with or without correction.
Must have sufficient hand/eye coordination.
Must be able to operate a genie boom at heights up to 40 feet.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
