Weekend Production Supervisor

Essential Functions include but are not limited to:
Directs, mentors, coaches and motivates crew as well as manages shop scheduling requirements and communicates daily/weekly performance metrics.
Participates in Daily Production Meeting on 1st shift to ensure schedules and customer needs are met.
Participates in the daily Management Plant Walk-Through on Weekend shift.
Conducts Daily Production Meeting on Weekend shift to ensure schedules and customer needs are met.
Directs department leads, who conduct daily crew meetings and communications.
Directs department leads in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Reviews production orders and schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan department operations.
Oversees the development of work teams to ensure the efficient and effective accomplishment of the company's goals and objectives.
Prepares production schedules and coordinates daily activities to ensure production and quality of products meet specifications and customer requirements.
Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational issues to ensure minimum costs and to prevent operational delays.
Reviews production performance data to measure efficiency and goal achievement to determine areas needing cost reduction and/or improvement.

Directly supervises all departments on second shift. Plans, schedules, coordinates and assigns work and establishes goals and priorities for subordinate employees.
Formulates performance standards in relation to LMI's behaviors; provides ongoing feedback; conducts bi-annual evaluations; and initiates personnel actions for subordinates.
Assesses and approves performance evaluations and personnel actions of production employees in all departments on second shift.
Manages all Workday and Time Clock activities related to second shift departments.
Handles customer-supplied product with care.
Strives to meet and exceed LMI's quality standards by adhering to LMI's quality standards.
Practices LMI's behaviors. Adheres to protocol for quality, on-time delivery, and safety.
Manages time effectively so that production schedules are met.
Interacts professionally with co-workers and vendors; understands internal customers; and strives to maintain good relations with others.
Responds quickly to inquiries and follows up as needed.
May assist in other areas or perform other duties as required by business demands.
Embraces change to ensure overall success of the company
High School diploma or High School Equivalency required.
Five years management experience in a production environment desired.
Experience with performance metrics, process improvement, and Lean techniques.
Computer experience, including Microsoft Office products required.
Must have a comprehensive knowledge of the LMI's Work Order Tracking System and SharePoint site.
Application of basic mathematical skills is required.
Presentation skills required
Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and customer and OEM specifications required.
Experience writing procedures and work instructions are required.
Ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements:
This position will require an employee to work in both a factory and office environment. The site will contain mobility barriers with uneven ground-level and obstructed pathways. Working conditions at the job site will be indoor/outdoor with varying temperatures, and with various noise levels caused by tools, machinery, equipment, etc. The work environment characteristics described above are representative of what an employee will encounter while performing the essential functions of this job.
The employee must be able to perform the following physical requirements effectively, with or without reasonable accommodation:
Standing for prolonged periods, walking, sitting, climbing stairs or ladders, kneeling, crouching, balancing, and lifting and carrying a minimum of 25 lbs.
Reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and materials

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
