Painter Assistant 1

Essential Functions include but are not limited to:
Read and understand work order requirements and processing procedure.
Identify parts with printed and/or electronic pictures.
Rack, prep, turn, and solvent clean production parts prior to the application of organic coatings.
Load and/or move materials to or around work area.
Transfer finished pieces to shipping area.
Other Job Duties include but are not limited to:
Operate pallet jacks and forklift, with appropriate certification.
Keep Paint/Racking areas clean and organized per company Ultraclean/6S requirements.
Adhere to all safety requirements, and use all required Personal Protective Equipment.
Handles customer-supplied product with care.
Maintain and reinforce LMI's quality standards to meet and exceed customer expectations.
Must be in a position to work flexible hours, including overtime (and weekends), as necessary to meet the demands of the customer.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Paint/Shipping Supervisor.
High School diploma or High School Equivalency required.
Previous experience in paint operations desired.
Must have ability to read and comprehend American English.
Must become proficient in using the LMI's Work Order Tracking Program.
Application of basic math skills is required.
Must have ability to follow written and verbal directions.
Must exhibit attention to detail.
Must exhibit interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Must possess a positive team-player attitude.
Must have a demonstrated, strong work ethic.
Must be dependable.
Physical Requirements:
This position will require an employee to work in both a factory and office environment. The site will contain mobility barriers with uneven ground-level and obstructed pathways. Working conditions at the job site will be indoor/outdoor with varying temperatures, and with various noise levels caused by tools, machinery, equipment, etc. The work environment characteristics described above are representative of what an employee will encounter while performing the essential functions of this job.
The employee must be able to perform the following physical requirements effectively, with or without reasonable accommodation:
Must have ability to bend, twist and stretch arms above head and walk or stand for long periods of time.
Must be able to lift and move heavy objects up to 40 pounds safely.
Must be able to push and pull heavy racks.
Must have standard visual acuity (correctable by prescription glasses or contacts meets the requirement) and have the ability to distinguish colors.
Must have sufficient hand/eye coordination.
Hearing with or without correction is required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
