Purchasing/Inventory Agent

Job Summary:
Obtains requirements by verifying, preparing, and forwarding purchase orders; verifies receipt of good purchased; responsible for inventoried items and distribution.
Essential Functions include but are not limited to:
Verifies purchase requisitions by comparing items requested Approved Supplier List if needed
Clarifying unclear items on requisitions
Recommends alternatives on products when needed
Negotiates pricing
Prepares purchase orders by verifying details, specifications, and price
Completes orders by forwarding purchase orders to vendors.
Monitoring and expediting orders
Authorizes payment for purchases by entering receipt in Global Shop and forwarding documentation to Accounts Payable Other Job Duties include but are not limited to:
Keeps information accessible by sorting and filing documentation by vendor/project
Records all credit card purchases; files copies of documentation for reconciliation purposes
Verifies all Cap Ex items have approved CER's before completing purchase in accordance to procedure
Maintains Shelf Life Database
Maintains the VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) report
Responsible for maintaining appropriate supply levels in inventory for production
Maintains paint storage logs
Maintains Approved Supplier data base
High School diploma or High School Equivalency required.
Ability to apply basic mathematical skills required.
Computer experience, including Microsoft Office products required.
Must have ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge in a fast-paced environment.
Must have ability to troubleshoot and correct problems
Must have ability to work independently and within a team environment

Physical Requirements:
This position will require an employee to work in both a factory and office environment. The site will contain mobility barriers with uneven ground level and obstructed pathways. Working conditions at the job site will be indoor/outdoor with varying temperatures, and with various noise levels caused by tools, machinery, equipment, etc. The work environment characteristics described above are representative of what an employee will encounter while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee must be able to perform the following physical requirements effectively, with or without reasonable accommodation:
Standing for prolonged periods, walking, sitting, climbing stairs or ladders, kneeling, crouching, balancing, and lifting and carrying a minimum of 25 lbs.
Reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and materials

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
