Planner 1

Planner 1 must possess the overall knowledge necessary to begin the process of learning the receiving process, interpret customer purchase order instructions, and have the basic skills and knowledge of operating a computer and digital camera. Will accomplish the basic planning process under the direct supervision of a Planner 2 or Planner 3. Individuals must be well organized and be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of quality and meeting established company goals. Planner I personnel must be able to learn to operate equipment necessary to move product throughout the facility.
Essential Functions include but are not limited to:
Read and understand work order requirements to facilitate the movement of product throughout the facility.
Organize and prioritize work by receipt date and identify expedite products on purchase orders.
Perform Auto Cloning in the Work Order Tracking Program.
Enter data to receive orders, identify, inspect for damage, count and measure parts upon receipt from the customer.
Document information on the purchase order for special planning requirements.
Document product discrepancies during the receiving process and notify the Account Manager to contact the customer to resolve these issues.
Enter customer data into the Work Order Tracking System under the Header Information, detailed items, processes, and measurement tabs required for non-complex planning.
Understand the basic principles and concepts of planning basic detail parts under the direct supervision of a Planner 2 or Planner 3.
Read and interpret customer specifications, blue prints, masking aides, and visual aids as required for basic planning under the supervision of the Planning Lead, a Planner 2 or Planner 3.
Operate digital camera and upload pictures into the work order system.
Other Job Duties include but are not limited to:
Operate a copier/printer, as required.
Operate wheeled carts, pallet jacks and forklift, with appropriate certification.
Operate power tools.
Load and unload trucks as necessary.
Keep Planning/Receiving area clean and organized per company Ultraclean/6S requirements.
Observe safety requirements and use all required safety equipment.
Handles customer-supplied product with care.
Maintain and reinforce LMI's quality standards to meet and exceed customer expectations.
Available to work overtime when required, including weekends.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Planning Supervisor.

High School diploma or High School Equivalency required.
Must have ability to read and comprehend American English.
Previous experience in work order planning desired.
Reading and understanding basic blueprints desired.
Must attend and pass the LMI's Blueprint Reading Course.
Must be proficient in the LMI's Work Order Tracking Program, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint programs.
Application of basic math skills is required.
Must be able to follow written and verbal directions.
Attention to detail is required
Must have interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Must have a positive, team-player attitude.
Must have a strong work ethic.
Must be dependable, including being on time for scheduled shifts.
Courteous and respectful to others.
Physical Requirements:
This position will require an employee to work in both a factory and office environment. The site will contain mobility barriers with uneven ground-level and obstructed pathways. Climatic and environmental conditions at the job site will be indoor/outdoor climate with various noise levels caused by tools, machinery, equipment, etc. The work environment characteristics described above are representative of what an employee will encounter while performing the essential functions of this job.
The employee must be able to perform the following physical requirements effectively, with or without reasonable accommodation:
Must have ability to bend, twist and stretch arms above head and walk or stand for long periods of time.
Must be able to lift and move heavy objects, up to 40 pounds safely.
Must be able to push and pull carts or racks as required.
Must be able to off/on-load product off trucks or vehicles, as required.
Must have standard visual acuity (correctable by prescription glasses or contacts meets the requirement) and have the ability to distinguish colors.
Must have sufficient hand/eye coordination.
Hearing with or without correction is required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
