Georgia-Pacific is seeking a dedicated Facility Environmental Coordinator at our Cuba, MO facility. The Facility Environmental Coordinator (FEC) is responsible for the environmental compliance program at the Cuba, MO Gypsum manufacturing facility. The FEC works directly with the Plant Manager and capability leaders to ensure environmental requirements are proactively integrated into the facility's operations and coordinates with Divisional and Corporate environmental resources on technical issues.

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:
Providing day-to-day environmental support to operations - developing, implementing, and maintaining required plans, permits, and reports within the organization through the Operations Excellence process
Preparing routine air, water, and waste submittals to the government (e.g., annual compliance certifications, quarterly and semi-annual reports, DMRs)
Conducting and coordinating monthly monitoring, including tracking of items requiring corrective action
Participating in incident investigations, mitigation, root cause analysis and corrective action generation and implementation
Analyzing incident and compliance trend data and works with Production group to address areas of concern
Developing effective action plans and drives continuous improvement of the facility's environmental compliance program and management systems
Representing facility during agency inspections
Training facility personnel on applicable environmental regulations
Learning, understanding and implementing new environmental regulations applicable to the facility
Establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with site personnel and environmental agencies
Implementing Georgia-Pacific's (GP) environmental risk management system
Directing and assisting in compliance with Federal (EPA) and State environmental regulations/requirements including, but not limited to: air, wastewater, storm water, SPCC, SARA/CERCLA, LDAR and hazardous/nonhazardous waste
Prepare and implement key management systems/controls such as: Permits, Plans, Licenses and Registrations, Written Representation Tables, Statement of Basis, Notice of Compliance Status, Declaration of Negative Applicability, and Compliance Calendars
What You Will Need:
Basic
Qualifications:
Two (2) or more years Environmental Experience in manufacturing or industrial setting OR a current Georgia-Pacific Environmental Associate in the ELP Program
Bachelor's degree or higher in Science, Engineering or Environmental
Experience with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
Willing and able to travel as needed. (Typically, 5-10%)
Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment
Willing and able to lift to up to 50 pounds routinely and in a safe manner
Willing and able to climb stairs and ladders, walking, standing, stooping, and crouching for extended periods of time
Experience with site management of environmental compliance requirements for wastewater monitoring
What Will Put You Ahead?
Preferred
Qualifications:
Experience with site management of environmental compliance requirements for wastewater monitoring
Experience with a permitting review processes and applicability of environmental regulations (e.g., Maximum Available Controls Technology for internal combustion engines)
Experience managing compliance records using SharePoint
Possess a Method 9 Opacity Certification (smoke school)
Experience directly developing environmental calculations, emissions factors or engineering analyses
Experience conducting and submit sampling of various items on a routine basis
